      ... I suspect that most Californians will never forget their mission project. Of course, now, they have these kits that you buy and put together. I know because this is what my son did for his project.

      Anyway, it was fun seeing the mission made of real bricks and mortar, rather than my original vision of sugar cubes.

      ... told it they commonly swam here. We also saw some sea-lions in the bay so obviously there is a lot of wild life about. The weather continues to be fantastic and the beaches here were as good as Santa Monica.

      While there were not great numbers at the beach, there were about 150 people but no one was swimming. We were told the water here is very cold which is hard to believe when the temperatures on land were about 32 degrees. Unfortunately we did not try it but ...
