... by way of introduction he said "Well I'm senile now, but I used to be stupid". His approach to life was "the destination ain't important, just the direction." He had so many other gems! He was great with the kids, pulled some spanish moss of a tree and showed Leila how the Indian's plaited it into rope, and he was determined to let Phoenix find his own way with driving the boat, as we went round and round in circles ...

... night as we knew we had to get up early so we are both really tired and hot when we get to our planned destination at Manatee Springs State Park 3.5 hours away!
Sadly they are full for the weekend but we decide to stay for a few hours and swim in the springs. It is a beautiful spot with crystal clear cool spring water so we snorkel for a while and come out totally refreshed. We head north west again and end up stopping at Rocky's ...

Rain rain go away! Hoping it lets up some before I head out around 1400. 1200 update: dropped Marley off at his vacation spot. I think he'll have a ball playing with all the dogs and having company 24/7. Car and trailer is loaded, almost done cleaning the house, then we will be on our way in about 1-1/2 hrs.
