      First went to The Lizard, the most southerly point in mainland England and less well known. Old life boat station from the 1800s and spectacular cliffs.

      ... the Camel estuary, a deceptively calm body of water famous for the Doom bar. This large expanse of sand is exposed at low tide and has been responsible for more than 300 shipwrecks as the water is whipped to a frenzy in stormy weather. An enterprising group of locals has now established a brewery whose signature beer is named after the bar.

      We crossed over safely in around ten minutes, though the tide was going out and required the ferry to drift across sideways ...

      ... to say all of our goodbyes to family and friends but i'm sure it wont be long before we see you all again ��

      We are now at a campsite in Poole for a couple of nights before the grand depart on Saturday morning......feeling chilled with a glass of wine and wondering what the next few months have in store for us.

      ... substantial but actually turns out to be a tiny village pub. Conversation stops dead as we walk in and I can't help but be reminded of the opening scenes of "An American Werewolf in London".       Today we head to the southwest to see a bit of the Cornwall Coast. We drove along the Atlantic Highway which goes along the north coast. The scenery and small towns were beautiful.
