... a treat & took us the scenic way around. Our lovely host Estelle greeted us with a lovely afternoon tea ( almost dinner time) & we settled into our room. A very peaceful environment as a far cry from the hustle & bustle of people & cities that we had been used to over the last 4-5 weeks. Forget how long we've been away. To cut a long story short ( tired) we drove back into the village of Wadebridge ( about 5 mins) & had a lovely Indian meal. Tasty. That's all. Sleepy ...

Awoke to a glorious day with bright blue sky. Lazy morning and instead of fishing villages we headed to the town of Minions (and no we didn't see any little yellow people sprouting home truths!) and the Bodmin Moor - I have always wanted to walk on the moors after reading about it in books over the years! We saw horses, sheep and cattle wandering the moors. This part of Cornwall is famous for its tin and copper mining in the 1800s. It has now ...

Over 50 rooms to explore, and the cookiing/food area was comprised of 8 different rooms; the main roasting/cooking area followed by;bakery, buttery, charcuterie, pastry room, prep and cleaning room, on ...

We awoke to grey clouds and cooler weather! Headed north to Padstow through all the usual tree tunnels and hedge lined roads. We decided it should be called Steinville! Rick Stein, the TV chief has a restaurant, patisserie, deli and fish and chip cafe! He practically owns the town. Padstow is a gorgeous seaside village. We meandered around. There was a food fair in the local memorial hall with ...

... for a coffee and a walk along the seaside. Glorious spot with lots of people enjoying the beach even though it was not really hot! Pebbled beach but that didn't stop the sunbathers. It managed to rain with not a cloud in the sky - we were all amazed walking along in brilliant sunshine getting wet!! From there we meandered our way to St Cleer and our gorgeous little cottage that will be home for the next week. St Cleer is close to Liskard ...
