... here is great. It's cooling off now so probably looking at mid twenties which is perfect. The view on the river was just stunning. Limestone mountains galore, water buffalo wallowing in the water and as the light changed as it got further towards sunset it was just a great place to be.

We had a bit of a stop half way through and one of the mountains is famous for having horses hidden in the rock formations so we spent soem time trying to find those. Its ...

P: De Chinezen die we zijn tegengekomen in het park in Chengdu. Die zongen en dansten er ongegeneerd en vrolijk op los alsof ze in hun eigen woonkamer waren. Ik heb wat filmpjes toegevoegd, zeker de moeite waard!

Desperate to get off the beaten track and see a part of China that had not been torn down and leveled for the construction of massive freeways and apartment buildings we headed for Fenghuang. It is an old Chinese town with traditional buildings and covered bridges on a river in the country in Hunan province.

Buying train and bus tickets in China is a tough task. There is almost no English spoken ...

... were all fairly western, which was refreshing as we knew what we were ordering. Had a lovely pizza and waiting for our first torrential downpour to clear up. We wanted to get back to the hotel so looked around more of the town in the rain - definitely saw a Chinese guy in just Speedos and flip flops walking around the street. No pools or beaches anywhere near this place, but again nothing really can shock you in China after the first few times.
