... about 6 passengers and have a small motor also on the river. These rafts may be privately owned but all of the bookings and ticketing is controlled by the government. Along the shoreline some of the people from the local village have set up stalls to sell souvenirs and handicrafts to the tourists. ... in 4/7 all the way. At one point I thought 'I must be nearly there' and asked (via sign language) where I was, only to find out I was at the first of four villages. I could have cried and tried another tactic of trying to flag down a truck to take pity on me but they all took my frantic waving as a friendly wave. ... motor. The river ride was one of the most beautiful I have ever been on. You had karst mountains on both sides of you and you would occasionally witness a farmer in is rice field or working with his water buffalo.

One of the highlights of the trip was Nine Horse Mountain. If you look at the face of the mountain, you are supposed to see the heads of nine different horses naturally formed on the mountain. The most I ever saw was six. There was a landing where ...

Yangshou, is the most beautiful place I've seen in China, it's surrounded by weird shaped mountains that used to be underwater, we went on a boat trip to an old village in a mountain and then came back in the rain.
