We grab a train on to Clitheroe today to stay at her grandpa’s house. It’s always nice to see a big city again, but I look forward to embracing the small town life already. Those kids last night definitely topped the cake. Now we make our way back to one of her childhood homes ...

... ideas of what I would do next when someone bumped into me. Instant panic. I turn. There's Dan smiling from ear to ear. The brat watched me walk around all confused to see what I would do. He got a smack for that. Well anyhow now we are in Manchester. We have walked around. Grabbed a pint. Went to the football (soccer) museum. Went in the Manchester cathedral. And now I'm exhausted. ... Lane Farm the following day. I rode up just to look around and then ride back to town. Barriers we going up all along the route. There was bunting and yellow bicycles galore and every pub seemed to have a "jovial" crowd getting ready for the next day. ... of other travelers at one of the travel centres for dinner. It was pretty unsatisfying (Burger King...chicken again), but good to take a break for awhile. Arrival time at our Marriott hotel at a country club outside Manchester was close to 8:00. We didn't even venture out of the room, but restuffed our bags with added souvenirs and got ready to face the long plane trip home on the 4th. It has been quite a day, and a wonderful trip...

... for 10 mins for a quick cuppa but finally we found Enid's home. She lives in an "old folks home" but has her own room and looks after herself, pretty good for 91 years old. She's such a feisty little woman, so much like Nanna it is lovely, and sad at the same time. I wonder what Nanna would think of us coming here and it's sad that she didn't get to see it, I think she would have been thrilled. Enid was so pleased so see us, we had a cuppa in her room and chatted, the family ...
