Manor stay
We drove from Chester to our accommodation at an historic hotel, Friars Carse. This hotel is amazing , very stately and opulent with an air of a country manor. We ate in the lounge for tea, sitting near the log fire in leather chesterfields waited on by a gentleman that kept bowing to us lol, the girls were very impressed. The bedroom G and I had was huge with very large bed, bath and wing backed chairs, the girls had a bed with a large canopy at the head. The grounds were lovely ...

... roughly 8 bacon sandwiches in my first 2 days home... safe to say I missed bacon! Ahhhhh well, YUMMY! I managed to rekindle my love of House series 1-3 and Doctor Who season 4, all round a goooood Toussaint! Off back to France on Saturday morning for another 6 weeks before Christmas - wooooooo! xo
