      ... because we haven't done many side trips in Jamaica, but they cost so much. To leave the hotel costs you $100 minimum in a taxi, even if it's 15 minutes down the road, then you add on the tour price and tips and it comes very costly. Also, after 6 full-on weeks where we were doing something everyday, it is nice to sit around doing nothing for a change. A whole heap of Pommies turned up today and have spent all day at the swim up beer drinking. No hats, ...

      ... to look, so you go in and have a look at more wood carvings to keep them happy. You then say sorry, not really interested and they usually reply 'that's cool mon'. As long as you have a look in their shop, that's enough to keep them happy. A bloke came up to D'Lene and had a $5 Australian note he wanted to change to US$. Poor bloke has probably been waiting ages for some Aussies to pass through the markets.

      ... there just in time, don't like these close calls, not good for the stress levels. From Miami we flew to Montego Bay which was only an hour and a half flight. Got to our hotel, and it's fantastic. It's got a nice big pool right next to the beach, a lazy river and a couple of water slides. We've got the all-inclusive package so you can eat and drink as much as you want. Spent the afternoon floating around the pool drinking Piña Coladas and Red Stripe beer ...

      ... of the gazebo. Brought our chairs right into the water. So refreshing. There was only one other couple on the beach. There is a nice cool breeze. Afterwards we waked to the west side and I went into the huge hot tub. It could seat 35 people but I was alone. The water was so hot. Probably 105 degrees. It really helped my achy bones.
