... and work the evening shapes in the fading light. Sadly, I think I am too tired to draw properly as the squiggles were impatient and incongruent.

We ended up staying two nights as a full day of rest out of the car, writing and drawing was needed. The water is very salty, and has to be trucked in every day - they are trying to drill a borehole 15km away, which will be fresh and they can then pipe it in. They have sunk fourteen boreholes with no joy, ...

... we were driving through. They were the most dangerous animals, of course, that were in cages or fenced in. Made it difficult to get good shots through the wire. Once we finished up at the Farm Inn we headed back to Jannie's where we can even hear the lions roar from there. Nice.

Tomorrow we plan to visit and tke a tour of a diamond mine.

In Ghana it made sense that we would need to keep large garbage cans filled to the brim with water outside of each bathroom so as to fill our buckets in the morning, waddle with them to the bathtub, grab a cup and begin to ladle ourselves clean. It was not possible to bathe in any other way and we quickly adapted ourselves to the ice cold water and awkward positioning that bathing required.
