... clean. We had time to visit the nearby Inverary Castle, which is the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll and chief of the clan Campbell. It's certainly a real castle, with the dining room decorated with huge tapestries, specifically designed for the Duke. ... in 1692. Went for a little walk and then moved down the road a mile to another car park, to do the Signal Rock walk. Great scenery again, a bit like the Gap of Dunloe in Killarney. There was a tolerated overnight stop at the ski lift area at Mount Glencoe so we stayed there for a very peaceful night (with the midges).
There were deer near the carpark early the next morning which was quite exciting. We set off early carrying on through the Glencoe Pass which was quite cool ...

Today we drove from Dingwall (north of Inverness) to the Isle of Skye with a few stops at Loch Ness. The trip was beautiful but pretty slow in some places especially when we were behind a large hay truck on single lane road.

... made a few purchases that we will have to find room for somewhere in our ever expanding suitcases! The highlight for Claire and I was of course, Marks and Spencer. Hazell worked with them for a few years, and still gets her staff discount, and was very generous with it today :)

She treated us to lunch, so we all took advantage of another opportunity to have their world famous sandwiches. I don't know what it is about M & S sangas - nothing ...
