... of Skye and the ferry to get back to Mallaig, where we had lunch.On the Isle we went to the Clan Donald centre but could not stay long as we needed to catch the ferry. Journey back to hotel was via Fort William , where we lunched yesterday, past Ben Nevis but today we stopped at the Commando memorial, very moving , set in a spectacular place.

Just a run out from our base at Strathpeffer to Urquhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness (and no Nessy in sight !!). Castle is just a ruin but was still good to see. Then it was on to the bloody Culloden Battlefield where over 1500 men died in a battle in 1746. After that we visited Fort George which was built in 1747 but is still an active army base. ...

... the hills without falling over. Benjamin was taken in for a while, but after a brief glance from his Uncle Greg, the truth was out and the Myth was sadly short-lived.

We felt amazing when we reached our destination; all that fresh air and exercise really did the trick. Greg and I have decided to do it again tomorrow morning before we head off. As Claire missed out, she is going to come with us, with Hazell too - can't wait!
