Ken is home safe and sound . . . .
Well it's been epic guys, just epic. I have dragged these two old ***** around the world and back. The occasional drama here and there (what goes on tour, stays on tour), but we are all still talking so it must have been fun.

Giechelen - Days 49 - 54
... such an awesome place hidden amongst all the bush and so close to the sea) with beautiful views over the sea! We walk to a surf break called Manu Bay its perfect for us goofy footers. There are perfect green waves and tons of surfers out. We sit there for ages just watching the surfers and waves and enjoying the sunshine! I am so glad I have decided to stay here for a few days. It also means I will get to surf at some point.
We head back, cook dinner and play ...
Surf's Up?
... was about… I’m still not sure.
We discovered to our dismay when we got back that the whole of the hostel had been taken over by children… really annoying ones, and so we were banned from the big kitchen – which I’m pretty sure they couldn’t do, but instead of complaining about it like I normally would have we just cooked in the smaller kitchen downstairs.
Randomly whilst we were cooking we bumped into Claire and Tony ...
Down on the farm
... got out a couple of bottles of sav, some marshmallos for the fire, crackers and cheese and we waited for it to get dark. When it got dark we 'rafted' up into two groups of about five kayaks and drifted down the river. The stream had really high banks on both sides and they were covered with glow worms on both sides, at least as good as what you see in Waitomo but you were much closer to them.
Next stop Mangawhai in Northland on our way to Dargaville.

Journey continued...I'm a bit behind!
... our vans for a retired guy to turn up to look at the boys van (met him in the pub last night!) we were supposed to do the massive journey to Wellington (7 odd hours) but ended up stopping at Glenview club in Hamilton (again!). Whilst there I placed a bet on the rugby, the boys assume I've put England to win... 7th October-will we make it to wellybum? Van fixed, journey underway. We always travel in convey with our ...
