Another beautiful day with loads of sunshine and blue skies. Today was forecast to be the best day of the week so we had planned to head off to the seaside. There were a number of options for the location of our costal day so after weighing these up we picked Saltburn. ... looking for a place for lunch.
We fond the Cobblestone Cafe in the centre of Grassington and we enjoyed the paninis with tea. As we were looking for a table another couple offered to let us share their table in the courtyard outside so we passed the time waiting for lunch chatting to a couple from Chesterfield who were staying nearby for a few days walking.

The weather today was supposed to be reasonable so, after a walk in the grounds of the Abbey, we set off in sunshine for a couple of visits to National Trust properties near York. The Abbey has opened a new orc************ on the other side of the river to the Hall and this is a grab meadow to wander through as well as giving great views of the Hall itself.

... I had to snap a shot of their dog Keeper's collar and a reproduction of Emily's sketch of him). Tours are self-guided, and the museum opens to the parlor where Emily was purported to have perished on the existing couch. Much remodeling has been done to the rooms. ... the same thing since. Our kids have got the impression that Daddy was raised in a very weird church where they don't have a regular church servce. After church we headed to Barnoldswick and to the graveyard where my Dad is buried. It was great to see the grave in good condition and I know that, although my Dad never got to meet is daughter-in-law and his grandchildren, he would have loved them and been so proud of them.
