... us, with Ben reassuring me that it was a raccoon or some other small critter. However every time I relaxed there was another noise, normally just bushes and grasses shuffling. At some point in the evening I heard a very different kind of noise - far off to the right of us, which was a low rumble. After Ben admitted he couldn't identify the noise my paranoia increased, but then we didn't hear it again for a while and I began to relax again.

... all seem to be doing great, getting bigger and older. Kids grow up so fast. Gilly and Jacob are in high school now. How did that happen? I took a long winding walk through the Glen with Jacob, Zoey and the dogs and got a view of Stanford and Palo Alto from the hill.

... intercom (of course i did, he was on the wrong side of the road) which distracted him! We did finally make it to our destination for the night, Monterey. It's on the bay and is known for it's fisherman's wharf. Before venturing out visiting the wharf I was in need of a drink to calm the nerves.
