Yesterday we drove down to Laverstoke Mill which is now the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. We had watched a Megafactories documentary on the restoration of the mill and loved getting to see it and to learn about making the gin. This afternoon I went to the Birmingham Christmas markets with Angus, Becka, Suzannah and Alistair. On arrival we got a cup of mulled wine and a German sausage. This German sausage was 1/2 a metre long and it was delicious! With warm food in our tums we ventured off around the markets. There were so many stalls selling cool stuff. For dinner we followed the hostess here's advice and drove to a pub nearby but not the same one as yesterday - great meal - very dark on way back as no street lights anywhere.
So as I finish tonight let me just say that England has a lot of European wasps and a heck of a lot of spiral staircases... most of which we have now climbed.
