    ... slept on the couch. Tonight I have secured a mattress on the top floor in a very nice room. Tonight's gig is going to be huge-being held in the basement of the squat. I feel a mood amongst the band the things are going to get messy wild. Ok except we leave for Copenhagen at 7am sharp. Long day on the road.......     Train got in at 8.15 in morning. Went to Eva's house to drop off bags, then on to Dareks parents apartment for beautiful Polish breakfast. Dareks dad, Joseph, took us to see his garden allotment. He has plums, apples, grapes, peaches, tomatoes, capsicum. Had beer and grapes on his allotment hut balcony. Back to Eva's place and then walk through Iława along ...

    ... least the Kwidzynites consider pizza. When we ordered, the waitress asked if we wanted sauce to go along with the pizza. Not knowing any better, we declined. While waiting for our pizza to arrive, we surveyed other people slathering on what appeared to be ketchup, mayonnaise and other unknown sauces on theirs. Who knows maybe the sauce would have improved the pizza, we’ll never know. Ah, but the beer was good.

    ... the reduced speed limits, but not Chuck (much to the consternation of the drivers back up behind me). After being on the road for almost four hours, we decided to stop for lunch just outside of the old Hanseatic League city of Torun, the birthplace of Copernicus. We took a chance and stopped at a place called the DaVinci Hotel & Restaurant. It turned out to be quite a nice treat. The food was good, nice portion sized, and inexpensive. Tummies full, ...

    ... longer. So we are going to travel up to Gdansk and along the Baltic coast into the top of Germany then dropping down through Amsterdam.

    So will still be home as planned.

    We are staying at a TIR parking area tonight. It's in the middle of countryside, beside a lake, has a hotel with bar and restaurant and it's free to park here for the night.
