    ... s, the Abbey Church (containing the tomb of Rosendo Salvado), an old mill, a wine press, a hotel, and the monastery itself.The last Spanish Benedictine monk of New Norcia died on 18 January 2010, aged 99. He continued to prepare the bread for the monks and olive oil almost upon his death.

    From New Norcia, Lyn and I travelled the last couple of hours down to Perth, booking into our caravan park in the Swan Valley around mid afternoon.

    ... the lovely Laura Ivey (an English lady who has been bell ringing for 60 years), we had a full demonstration and we even got to chime the bells ourselves which was great! Some of the heavy ones were hard work mind! As we were the only two there we were well looked after and we even came away with a bell ringing certificate! Following on we headed straight for level 4 (the belfry) for some close up viewing of the bells which was pretty cool, Laura rang the bells from the bell ...

    ... she stopped lots of time. The views from the coastline are very beautiful, there were lovely little beaches in little coves and very clear water. It reminded the grown-up a little bit of Cornwall. The island had two lighthouses and also it has alot of shipwrecks in the water. Some grown-ups must have stayed on the island as they had time to go snorkeling to explore the water and the shipwrecks. On the way down ...
