... br>
We've had some lovely blue sky days here though there is always a coolish breeze by the coast. Today has been rather overcast, but pleasant enough.

Tomorrow we go on to Margaret River, which is inland slightly, and is vineyard country. We are not driving long distances each day but just taking it slowly and enjoying a more relaxed pace.

Lots of Love. Hope you are all getting ready for Christmas! We are cancelling it this year I think!
Busselton, Western Australia, Australia col-jeanWell I did promise you some photos, so here they are! Today we did a bit of sightseeing to Dunsborough, and Yallingup (surf beach areas) and then we progressed to some more wineries, and a few breweries. We stop at one of Geoff's favourite ones - the Bootleg Brewery for lunch. It has been a fabulous day, around 30 degrees, great drinking weather I'm told. Unfortunately, I was the designated ...

Busselton, Western Australia, Australia tonyandmarina... After nine months on the road, it wasn't until we had actually stopped travelling that we realised how travel-jaded we actually were and that is definitely one of the reasons we've stopped here. We need to almost bore ourselves before we're ready to move on again and have the appetite to travel like we had before. I've been working in a bar in town, Settler's Tavern, which is generally pretty social with nice food & good music. Dave's been working in a posh wine bar in town and ...
Margaret River, Australia aoifenim... breweries, caves, surf spots, idyllic beaches, Margaret River's got it all - but you've got to be able to get around it. Not surprisingly, the tour companies cover a few angles. Like the wine tasting. Pay the fee, hop on the bus and they'll whizz you round a few wineries and get you laggered. Great in theory but we were up for a bit of fine dining as well as tasting so decided on the independent option. This ...
Busselton, Western Australia, Australia scottwoz... and is just a couple blocks from the beach (Indian Ocean). It's nice to stretch out a bit after experiencing some of those tiny one room motel's. Today (Saturday) is our first full day here and we plan to check out the diving situation to see what's around and available. It feels much sunnier and warmer here and maybe I'll finally get to pack those long pants and sweatshirts away for a while. We are visiting Australia during one of their worst droughts in 10 ...
Margaret River, Australia andersonmiller... sun was just about to set. I guess if you're going to be anywhere for a sunset, you may as well be on the west coast of a country, and it was a pretty spectacular event.

Naturally it was nothing special to the locals because it happens every day, but to us it was just beautiful...

<br ...
Busselton, Australia al_fey... present (wrapping and all) from the airport shops. We experienced everything that Perth's domestic airport can offer and anyone who has been there would know that that's not much. Ash arrived safe and sound on Friday afternoon and we fired up Rexy (god bless him - he started third go after not having been turned on for over a month!) and hit the highway heading south for the Southbound Festival. The Southbound Festival is a two-day outdoor camping, music and arts festival held in ...
Margaret River, Australia melashAfter leaving M/River we headed straight to the Choc Factory - Here we got to sample loads of chocolate and also some very tasty jams. After pigging out on the freebies, we bought a chocolate fondu for two and had that in the factory.... it was so lovely, after eating on the dunked marshmellows and honeycombe... only loads of ...
Willyabrup, Australia sjw_uk... by our driver the 'Undiscovery Centre' as there are never any dolphins there!!) Anyway, we learnt some more about them and watched a film about their lives which was really interesting. In the evening we had a bbq at the hostel. Us girls had chicken, but the boys had a huge fish platter. They bought virtually every type of fish from the supermarket as it's so cheap. It did look amazing, but I still stand by the fact that squid rings look ...
