It was a great Walking Women holiday based at a hotel right at the beach, on the wide sands of Oxwich Bay. We were a group of 10 and one guide, an eclectic bunch, including a professional clarinetist, a PhD lecturer on death and dying, an artist, a very fit 77-year-old, a former police officer (the guide), a teacher and others.
We had an excellent first day ...

... stay up. If you were standing, you had to hold both up. And if you were doing the full business you had the lid pressing against your back. Bizarre. That was the only negative.
We sat outside and watched a beautiful red tinged sunset drinking yummy Brains (Welsh brewery) beers then went inside as it got cooler and had a fab dinner.
Amazing location, great food, good beers and most of all terrific staff.

First day of adventure - wish it hadnt been one!
... and really convenient. Ordered breakfast for the morning and had a lovely night out in Italian Restaurant with Laura-Jayne, who worked with me for my last yesr, and is now sorting them out in Worthing!
She dropped me off wishing me luck for tomorrow, and as I walked through the car park, I couldnt help but notice the offending wheel looking a bit flat = my heart sank, but there was nothing I could do then! Off to bed and hope for the best! What a day!

Rain, thunder and lightning in Rhossili-Tim
Spent an enjoyable if very wet week on the Gower Peninsula. Very glad we were in the van as it rained at least part of every day! Scenery and beaches are superb here and great for boogie boarding with long shallow beaches. Malcolm, Jo and the boys had a harder time of things in the tent. We had a couple of trips into Swansea for the cinema and water park and the local Worms Head Ale was a very good ...
The walk ( Oliver)
... we got there we were soaking wet. Post note from mum - this was about a lovely walk along the coastal path on the gower peninsula in wales near Swansea .
