... and practical, but instead I procrastinated. Eventually I decided I needed to get out and clear my head. I asked Becky if she wanted to go out for a walk, but as I suspected, she was quite happy sitting inside. Once in Surfers Paradise, I checked in on a couple of applications I had made and looked around a bit before heading down onto the beach. In Australia apparently they close beaches. Tomorrow I plan on making the short trip (24min) to Scott and Danielle's. They apparently had other friends staying with then last night and tonight.. So I thought it best to wait to the weekend to lumber myself on them. They are quite close to the dealer and I should be able to get my bike in nice and early Monday.. Then the adventure ...

... step ups and chin ups. We had a go at each and were soon raising our heart rates! After reaching the end we moved onto the beach and walked along the sand toward Surfers Paradise. Intermittently, there were lifeguard stations and beach goers were instructed to swim between the two flags for safety. It also interested me to learn there are shark nets positioned off the shore stretching along the coast to help safe guard against attacks. The nets are generally 150 metres long, 6 ...
