    Very hot in the room last night. Up around 8am. Set out around half 9, we headed down Beach Road towards the Esplanade. Beautiful sunny day even though it was forecast rain. Temperature up towards 31 degrees!! We took every opportunity possible to get some shade it was so warm, we had a little wander around the Cavill Mall too, checking out the vast array of shops.     ... we got the shuttle bus to the bus station, then my bus came at half 2 and I was on my way�� it was soo weird as we drove into a different time zone and the clocks went forward an hour so I lost an hour of my day somewhere!     ... and enjoyed an early lunch near the sea. On the way back the radio advised that people in the Labrador and Broadbeach area should put their cars under cover to protect them from hail! We returned to the van and were relieved to see that other than everything under the annexe being pretty wet we had escaped any major damage.
