      It was time to start the journey home so we headed across to the airport and checked in before heading to the virgin lounge. We grabbed some dinner and drinks, wrote up the blog and soon enough it was time to board. With the mixture of eating, film watching and sleeping, the 13 hours passed quick enough and we were soon landing in LHR.

      ... just as well our Spanish classes are at an early stage as we do not understand what the Spanish woman says about Kathleen to her friend.

      Its a long 13 hour flight and the last thing you need after that is Terminal 5. Ponce again we get lost and end up out in the domestic terminal.

      When we get back to Aberdeen it is cold and there is a light dusting of snow which makes having been away for three weeks feel all the better.

      ... on her side of the family, but it was still a pretty far stretch to have him wear a skirt. So after several calls to kilt stores all over Aberdeen we finally found one who had “morning suits” aka tuxedos available to rent and would take measurements over the phone. Which was wonderful because we didn't have to try to buy a suit somewhere on our trip and carry it with us, but it also meant we had to get his measurements taken in some country along the way.
