We do a half hour tour with a castle guide which give you the history overview and showed you where things were, We then spent a couple of hours wandering and exploring the castle, visiting the crown jewels and different parts of the castle, We make our way back ...

Monday dawned bright, but blustery. We took off at 1245 for the two hour trip north to Aberdeen, dodging a few showers along the way. We spent some time walking through Castle gate: here are some really great old buildings; the old gallows and where the gates to the castle are located hence the name. I forgot my phone so will take pictures tomorrow. We drive back to Edinburgh ...

... dessert which was delicious and much better than normal ice cream. We walked back to our room and let Emma play for a bit before I fed her and put her to bed at 8.00pm.

Matt is sitting at the little table in the room making his models while I write and watch TV. It was nice having a casual day today because tomorrow we’re going to Balmoral Castle, which we’re looking forward to, but we’ll be doing a bit of driving and ...
