... interesting trip with only around 20 passengers on. Boat designs to carry over 100. We went through locks on two barges, the second very large and there were three yachts as well as us in the lock. Very scary watching me of them pick up a passenger who came down the slippery, slimy ladder complete with luggage and his wellingtons were lowered down. By one of the lock workers. Then arrived in St Malo, which is quite impressive arriving from ...

... then met up with C&R for a lovely lunch, sounds as though we spend our time hanging out in bars and cafés, this was a bit of the tourist beat, so good job we had our French speaker with us. ... way to Dinan, but when we got to the house no key in the keybox. Few phone calls and we retreated to a cafe to await the arrival of the cleaner with key. When we eventually got it found a lovely little house it's by the river at the port of dinan and had dinner - moules frites for me - at one of the many cafés bordering the river. Looking forward to exploring tomorrow.
