... the snow on them, made for a really picture postcard effect. One of Antalya's claims to fame is that you can swim and ski within an hour of each other - that's how close the mountains are. Today we stopped at one of the restaurants in the marina, bought ourselves our rapidly-becoming favourite drink (Efes Beer) and sat and watched the world go by. Charly & K-H leave first. I go for a final swim in the Med and then follow. We are heading for Karl-Heinz' house in Kemer, south of Antalya.

At first the road winds along the cliff-side as but soon it improves and from Alanya is fast and smooth. I stop to photograph more Byzantine Crusader castles. Unfortunately the best example on this coast is closed ...

... to find remnants of ancient walls and aqueducts situated along the streams that feed the main river. We walked up to and peered in to tombs and remnants of homes, their tile flooring still visible through the vegetation that was slowly reclaiming the land. Rolling away a rock lying in our path we noticed it was the remnants of an marble column. Ancient roman history was literally at our fingertips. We finally made our way to the beach. A rocky crescent dotted ...
