Britania Lima

We left Huaraz on an overnight bus on Tuesday night, arriving into Lima on Wednesday morning very early (6am). THe bus ride hadn´t been the smoothest - the road was very windy and bumpy - so we were both knackered! ... after i went to pick up my pants an get some fresh juice i met up with them at the hostel and we shared a taxi to Miraflores. I had to check into my hotel that the tour had booked so i ropped my stuff off there and showed them the way to the archeological site and we went our own ways, i hope to meet up with them again but if not her sister lives in LA so it would be possible to meet up there someday. <br>I got a cab to Lima Centre as there were a couple of things i wanted ...

Carlas gratis Stadtfuerung beinhaltete unter anderem den Placa de Armas mit der Kathedrale, in der angeblich der Gründer von Lima, Francisco Pizarro, liegen soll. Weiters besichtigten wir die Iglesia de San Francisco. Auf Carlas Empfehlung hin genehmigten wir uns schliesslich ein in Peru beliebtes Dessert namens Picarones, welches uns vom Geschmack her ...

We drove back to Ollantaytambo once more and Percy walked us to an area where we could see real Inca homes, quite like they have been for hundreds of years. ... and a sea lion nursery. Then we got back on Moose and drove to Huachina a town surrounded by enormous sand dunes in the Peruvian Desert. Here we had on over night trip into the dunes on sand buggies hooning up and down the dunes with our mad driver Ricardo. ... never have I seen people who need the help so much. What I really like though is the children everywhere seem happy.
