... storage plant and between his English and my French we all did fine. We bought a case and he was kind enough to deliver it so we didn’t have to drag it back on the bikes. When he delivered he took a photo of us on the back of the boat with the French name, the American flag, and a half case of his wine. He is a younger man and he struck me as quite a bit more market savvy than many French!

... then (I think because I had been pushing my french a bit more) she started to warm up! By the time we left (with a few bottles) she had apologised for the weather and was wishing us the best for the remainder of the trip!Back to the campsite (via the petrol station, as the car was SUPER low on gas) and we decided to just set up - the weather didn't look like it was going to improve... Things were all sorted and up and we decided to just relax for a bit - hoping the rain would stop ...

Bought some bubbly in Reims then on to Chalons-en-Champagne. Lovely town with two large churches as usual. The Notre-Dame De L'Epine dated back 1405 the Cathedrale St Etienne dated back 1230.

Not much to say this time because I am nursing a sore wrist - probably brought about by too much typing on keyboard at bad angles and too low since I can rarely get wifi inside the boat - just up in the wheelhouse.

Phil and Louise were waiting for us so we could go out to eat....so we dropped our gear in our room and headed off to find a restaurant.

Phil found a place, La Table Anna, a little walk away on Rue de la Gambetta, which turned out to be a great restaurant with beautiful food we all enjoyed. It wasn't cheap but it was superbly presented.
