... which is 6 miles inland, near Bretignolles sur mer. Suffice to say, we nearly booked. It's gorgeous. Massive pitches, even the standard ones. Green, green grass. Loads of space for the kids to play, ride bikes. Big pool with a smaller pool and a slide. Restaurant, bar, separate take out hatch. Did some washing, played some boule (until Bella lost the centre ball) rode bikes, ate lunch, sorted washing, played on pirate ship, played in park, caught up on some Kermode while Benji and hank went on a bike ride and Bella slept, are gorgeous pasta for tea and now in bed with Bella trying to convince her to settle down (half ten!) ... not what I wanted and had to go back! We ended up with nuggets for Ben, burger for hank, Bella had my chicken and mash which went down quite well, and I went back for pork in mustard sauce with rice which was delicious. Had a couple of goes on the merry go round while waiting for hank to locate water in Leclerc and them got back on track for the aquarium, arriving about 2 ish. 10am! Bonus. Had a light breakfast and headed out to St Gilles to explore the town. Lovely little place. Walked down the Main Street to the cathedral where there were loads of cafés and restaurants around a main square, and a little playground and water fountain, which Benji enjoyed enormously. ... fun had. Really nice just lolling in the sand chatting and playing. Came back to a Benji strop of magnificent proportions, let's just say the tent needed mopping after.
