    Day 35 - Evran

A travel blog entry by kcrileytandem on Oct 19, 2014

Another day in the saddle - following south westerly wind, small quiet country lanes, coffee stop in the sun at Mauran next to two English women, lunch next to a lake, pastis and beer in Evran and then onto a camping d'Aire for motor home. Toilet and sink made the 'rough camp' less rough. Tomorrow it's onto the coast and St Malo. Bon ...

... Coffee stop was by a creperie we used on the way down. This time we brewed our own coffee and watched a group of Harley Davidson riders poke their noses into a barge moored nearby. Then riding on to lunch by canal with wind and sun to dry tents and flysheets. This afternoon after ploermel we cycled on to find rough camping spot when 2 men said there's a ...

Very tense but it has taken about 70 miles off the route via Nantes. A very late lunch in an covered alleyway in a small town gave the very unexpected opportunity to blow dry the flysheets. Great now we could set off north towards ...

For the first time since owning the house in France we have decided to catch the train from our local station at Questembert. The station is about 12km from Malestroit and is on the main line between Vannes (population 50,000), Redon (population 10,000) and Nantes (population 280,000) a journey of, if you catch a fast train, about one hour and twenty minutes from Vannes to Nantes. It is fair to say that SNCF have a fairly erratic timetable, ...
