... are allowed on the island. It's probably only a matter of time until things change but for now, the island remains relatively unscathed by modern transportation. I arrived by wooden yacht, ferrying produce to locals from the mainland. The trip cost around £3 and involved lying on top of milk and vegetable (and drink!) crates, whilst taking in the incredible views of Isla Grande on the horizon. ... to head over to Curva da Jurema, just across the park. We had met a nice lady there yesterday. Her name was Marcie and she worked at one of the restuarant/bars on the beach. We went back and had a beer with her and some of her friends before we caught a taxi to the bus depot for our long bus ride back to Muniz Freire.
Vitoria was beautiful but our time here was too short. Perhaps I will return again someday. One never knows!

... after drinking a beer, I would need a banheiro in about thirty minutes so we gathered our things and headed off for Curva da Jurema.
