... at the same time so this will be awesome to go winery touring together. Also, it was awesome to meat Junior (the hostel owner) who became a great mate, and we hope to catch up in Australia over the next few years!

Florianopolis was our last little ray of Brazilian sunshine and beaches for a few months so it was sad leaving, but geez we are excited for the next bit of our travels - this is where the real adventures begin! See you soon Iguazu falls!! ...

After leaving Bonito, Whitney and I flew to Florianopolis to spend 4 nights on Ilha de Santa Catarina. We flew through the night and since the flights were pretty short it really wasnīt a very restful trip but we also didnīt spend a day travelling so I think it was worth it. ... Spanish. Our day spent driving around the island was a highlight when we visited 3 or 4 beaches and took a short cruise across the inland saltwater lagoon. We had lunch of prawns and fish in a small waterfront restaurant which was really nice. Overall we really enjoyed our few days in Floriapa in the context of our backpacking tour.
