... next day bought more rain, but it was also a Sunday, which means most of the island shuts down for the whole day and buses are on a limited service. This meant we only managed to pop down to the beach during a break in the rain. The next day however was the first glimpse of sun we had seen in a while which we took advantage of. Having heard of a snorkelling spot further down the island we set off with our snorkels which we hadn't touched since the Galapagos. Unfortunately the ...

Arrived and there were only 2 seats left and the lady was rather unhelpful. However with a small amount of panic, a bright idea from Lizzie and ...

... sun, the sand and the waves! Ahahaha... we played in those waves forever. Like little surf waves, but running and jumping into them, letting them spin and toss you around, or jumping with them and swimming with the wave, letting the force of it lift and take your body with it. After all that fun in the sun, Arone and I headed for an all-you-can-eat buffet. No, no pizza this time. But everything other than pizza they had. So needless to say, we got our R$18 worth. After waddling ...
