Florianópolis, or Floripa to the locals/anyone who's been there long enough to hear it referred to as such, is famous for its beaches, party life & surfing. After a mammoth coach journey (standard), we arrived in Floripa and took a further two, ridiculously crowded, buses over the "island", until we arrived near our hostel.
