When I came home from work, I realised that everyone in the house had thrown out all of my food from the fridge (presumably because it went off while I was away). This annoyed me. I purposely bought un ripe veggies so they would still be good when I got home. I planned for this. Not happy Jan.
I got a pleasant surprise tonight when Martyn finally called me and I got to chat to him for a bit. Turns out that he is now an Australian. Best day ever.

We eventually got back to Belo at about 7:30. Deborah was in the area and came over to take me to the pharmacy. Turns out that Brazil isn't like the rest of South America. You can't buy prescription medication over the counter here. This meant that I needed a doctor, and the only doctors open at this hour, are the hospitals. I didn't want to go because I really didn't need to be there as much as many other people. We went anyway. ...
... but they were insanely excited to see me. We told the kids I didnt speak portuguese because I was from the north pole and Santa up there only speaks English. We played with them for a bit before giving out all their presents. One of the kids got a soccer ball from Santa which provided another few hours of entertainment. Interesting to think that any kid in the Western World would be dissapointed with receiving an iPhone 4, knowing that their are new ...
... at LearnTEFL had marked my assignement, giving it great reviews, and landing me a final grade of 100%! Woo. I'm going to be a perfect english teacher! I don't know if I'm more happy about the 100%, or the fact that I've now finished it! Either way, it was a good day all around! Again my day started with lunch at Dona Vera's and while we were there, Jess's uncle Ze asked if Julio, Rod and I wanted to go to a lookout at the top of the city to see the skyline.
