To prove an earlier point, when Argentina lost in the finals, there were riots in the capital and Argentineans started fights in Sao Paulo and Rio. Brazil got creamed in the semi-finals and all that came out of it were internet memes. Man I love this country.

... on the metro. After trekking back up the hill we made it back to the hostel, ready to get into bed and have a nap. However, the beds weren't ready. The laundry was delayed and we had no bed sheets, but an hour later and we were in bed ready to nap for all of 30 minutes. TAM flight from Cusco to Sao Paulo. Had a good chat with the guys sitting either side of me.
Put the watch forward two hours.
A couple of hours to kill at Sao Paulo airport. Eventually got an internet connection in the WiFi area but it was very slow and gave up in the end. Not impressed with the terminal again.
Departed South America at midnight on the TAM flight to London. I wonder when I'll be back next; maybe 2016? ...

We reached São Paulo around 8 this morning after 2 long bus trips from Uruguay. It took in total around 29 hours:) We found our hostel and hit the showers!
