... keen to talk to you and practice it which is really nice. One guy who served us in a cafe was like an excited child when he realised we were English. We take it for granted that everyone speaks English but speaking to Brazilian people out here, it seems that only those privileged people can really afford to take lessons and learn English.

I can't say we were sad to leave Sao Paulo but we weren't looking forward to our 12 hour night bus to Florianopolis.
