... we got up and after breakfast found the laundry and got all of our washing done. Then into Arco for a coffee and look around and John got his hair cut for €15 by a nice Italian barber and it was nothing like the space invader from Turkey. We found a hairdresser for Jenny and she could not speak English but she could speak German so we made an appointment for 3.15pm after their lunch time siesta. We went to Riva Di Garda walked around and had ...

... After lunch the 5 of us went for a boat ride around Lake Garda which was beautiful. The captain even let each of the boys have a turn steering the boat which they thought was pretty cool. We were then going to go and have a look through a castle but it closed at 1pm! We didn't realize this and got there at 1.30pm. Oh well! We had dinner at the cafe downstairs from our hotel with John Daniela, and then when back to our rooms to pack up ready to head to ...

It was a really fun day and I'm sure will be one of the highlights of the boys trips, it was one of mine too! The kids were so tired we were not even going to attempt going anywhere for dinner So we room service pizza's and gluten free spaghetti (yay!) for me and ...

... When it turned up, it was a nearly new catamaran
almost as quick as the fast cat from the day before. Arriving back
in Sirmione, the weather soon began to brighten up and it turned into
a lovely day again. We took our time looking in the shops and
stopping for a couple of beers in a tiny bar. Jayne bought me a
magnificent Fossil watch in one of the shops. We walked from one end
of the town and back again, taking in ...

With loads to pack into
the day, we set off early to catch the first fast ferry of the day.
In fact, we were early for breakfast and had to wait for the
restaurant to open. The walk into town had been described as two
kilometres, however as the time went by and it looked increasingly as
though we would not make the sailing time, it was obvious that it was
over two miles from the hotel. Our first impression of Sirmione as
we arrived at the medieval city gates ...
