This is an old hotel very close to the sea and our room is quite nice. Several people on our trip felt the hotel staff was a little gruff and distant. Breakfast was only fair and the hotel is understaffed. The location is good, close to sea Ana restaurants.

Several famous personalities have stayed in this area over the centuries, including Frank Josef, Isadora Duncan, Elizabeth Taylor, to name a few.

Clean, spacious rooms. Due to travel issues we arrived late and missed dinner with our group but they sent cold cuts up to our room without our even having to request something.

The room was too warm at night though and air conditioning seemed to do nothing to cool it down.

One of the worst hotels on the trip. We found the staff to be brusque and sometimes rude. The rooms were somewhat small and the location was so-so. We did have a couple great meals in town and there was a wonderful promenade along the waterfront.

After a long ferry ride from Split, we arrived yesterday on the idyllic island of Hvar. We landed at Grad Stari private boats and yachts. The hotel is very nice, and although the room is small, it is quite comfortable and we slept well. Our dinner last night was very good, and the restaurant was up a sleepy, narrow side street. If you did not have …

... ve seen on Cres! Then we rode over the bridge (a 20m bridge; the channel was man made to control the movement of people from the north to the south in the roman times) to a town Nerezine. These two towns are much bigger (still very small though!) than the towns we visited yesterday. We got back to Percy around 2pm, did a clean up then had lunch of fruit and yoghurt in ...

Windiest night ever. Worst sleep. It was like sleeping on one of those bucking Bulls. Poor Percy was getting thrown around everywhere in the wind. The day started by extracting sea urchin spikes from Mats feet! Too much fun at the beach yesterday :) We headed to Valun, a cute town, much more modern than Lubenice, right in the water. A cute little spot! Then we drove to Ustrine. We hiked down to the beach and had lunch on the rocks near some old ruins. Then we went to the ...

We were thrilled to wake up to clear blue skies! We went straight down to Mali Bok to check it out in daylight. Still not overwhelmed!! We drove to Lubenice. The roads are so narrow! Luckily we passed other cars where there was room to move over. Some spots we would have had to reverse a long way! We wandered through the old town of Lubenice before hiking down to the Sveti Ivan beach. Well worth the walk; it's beautiful! Clear blue water and nobody around. We were ...
