      The long & twisty slippery road

      ... take but looking at the map there are a few nice routes through Slovenia which I might just do. I was hoping to stop off at my friends biker hotel in bad Lauterberg in Germany but sadly he is closed and also heading for UK so its a no go.

      I still have about 10 days to get home but looking at the alps its extremely snowy there at the moment so i think best avoided and just stick to motorways and main roads through Europe but only time will tell.

      ... yes again!) and then set off to properly explore the old town. The traveler's guide had a great map with a walking route and little blurbs about all the landmarks. We explored the underground palace which was really cool and then walked up the bell tower to look over the whole town. I marched straight up the rickety stairs while Darcy clung to the handrail slowly following behind. The view was amazing! Afterwards we headed to Gaga bar for an afternoon drink. ...

      ... got Garry to steer the boat, then disappeared and left Garry a little bewildered behind the wheel. We then drove north to Rovinj and watched the sunset over the harbour with a pizza and beer. Garry was in a happy place at this point and could have settled in,however I didn't want to tackle the driving so we head back to the hotel .       ... car. The bus didn't come after an hour so we got a taxi , no big deal as it was raining anyway. By the time we picked up our car the sun was out and ***********.       Only took 15 mins to get there and it was a nice little fishing village so we stopped and had a cocktail.
