... for our time here.
We arrived around 530 and had another 20-25 minute walk to the accommodation, once we arrived we did what we normally do and blob for a little bit, since we had essentially 2 full days to explore we weren't in a big rush here.
We had 2 Asian girls as room mates in the 6 bed dorm they were quiet, around 11pm two Indiana guys came in and around midnight they fell asleep and were both horrible snorers. I dreamt of ...
... madness of the city. As we were on a section of tram parking bays the chap needs to get off the coach and manually change the points to get onto the main tram section. He and the driver communicate using a whistle and hand signals.
Soon we are heading along the wonderful main tram route through the very historic streets of this wonderful city. As we puff along just about every head in the area turns to see what this strange machine is coming along the street.
... and not at all in the same league as the hotel in Berlin. We got a pretty decent sleep though, and didn't hear Fabian and Jane get up in the morning, but still had a pretty early start. As we were hoping to get around a few places the next day we wanted to get to the train station reasonably early. ... won't change trains. It could be several trains. Backtracked from Zermatt to Montreux and then the Golden Pass from there to Interlaken. Beautiful scenery. Hotel Interlaken is very nice. It's 4 star but close to rail station. Nice room with balcony overlooking park with koi pond. Mom loves that. Ditched our stuff and headed for the boat ride to Brienz on the Brienzsee.
