    ... at the central station in Zurich, I literally raced against the seconds to print my ticket and get on the only train for the next 3 hours that goes directly to Burgdorf. I made it but only by the hair on my chinny chin chin and because the train conductor lady held the train for me as she saw that I still looked like a train wreck with my unrelenting flu.     ... The first time we saw the sun was the second day back in Switzerland and we both threw our selves out of the light, thinking what is the monstrosity and why does it shine so bright?     ... river the next day. Phoebe very much enjoyed her new pastime off spending hours throwing stones into the river. Our last day in Bern was a steady one getting some odds and sods done. We biked over to Mike's work in the afternoon and Phoebe met the chickens and other animals - looks a fantastic place to work surrounded by countryside with views of the Alps. Our first stop had to be the bears; the bear is the national symbol of the city, and appears on its emblem, because in the past bears were kept in a pit that can still be seen today.
