We went from hervey bay to noosa on the greyhound bus and checked into a nice hostel. The wheather was good but we were only planning to stay for two nights and visit the famous Steve Irwin zoo the next day. It rained a little in the morning but was decent wheather while we were at the zoo. We watched the crocodile show with terri irwin and fed some elephants. We had a good day at the park and on our other day in noosa we enjoyed the sunshine and relaxed. The area was nice but very expensive ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia chrishumpsHoi luitjes!! Allereerst wil ik me allerliefste vader Feliciteren: Gefeliciteerd!!!
Brisbane, Australia idril_alcarin'Homestead' in 'New Farm' conjures up the image of a nice cottage, surrounded by countryside. You can imagine the shock, when the hostel described so positively in the Lonely Planet guide, turned out to be a suburban slum, managed by monkeys. It wasn't really that bad, but it wasn't overly pleasant. Our first day in Brisbane we spent exploring the city. Its an incredible place, some very beautiful old buildings, and a great deal of contemporary architecture. The Goodwill Bridge was designed b...

... stop, keep going!" Unfortunately I was holding on tightly to my seat, being bumped along, and hadn’t the presence of mind to video the proceedings. Much hilarity all round after we got to back to normal roads.
We reached home just as it was getting dark, between 6 and 7. Another enjoyable day. Doreen has certainly shown us a lot of aspects of the Brisbane area.
... These numbers are all in Australian dollars. If you want the American equivalent, it's about 80% of the Australian. So, $1.00 AUD is about $0.80 USD. Sorry, but I am too lazy to do the conversions! ;-) And the store I went into is one with the best prices, so anywhere that is more isolated (everywhere except capital cities) or touristy (everywhere) was more expensive by about 20-50% I would say. Also, some things, like produce, can ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia cmukon... and there wasnt much to see. Yea its a nice city but I wouldnt spend long there. We went to the Modern Art Museum which was really nice. Contributed a work of art.. (we had to draw a self-portrait of ourselves and place it with our chinese animal year thingy... The Snake for us!!.. My work of art consisted of all the colours you could think of making up my face... Apparently it looks quite like me... am a bit ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia viki_fish... young children will no doubt be familiar with the popular kids' performing group "The Wiggles". This Australian group started out as the less kid friendly (but apparently moderately successful) band, The Cockroaches]; · Enjoying the holiday cabin that had the cutlery drawer directly beneath the built in stovetop elements...there's nothing like picking up a burning hot fork! I guess the advantage of this questionable set up was that it gives you an ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia elopfamily... their real life equivalents, and Henry VIII and Winston Churchill were bizarrely svelte, suggesting they mock up one male and one female body unless there's a lot of flesh on display, a la Kylie. (They always have a Kylie. She must be secretly building a wax army - one day the Kyliebots will activate and join up with the mannequins from the Kylie Exhibition, and march on Washington!) They also had a chamber of horrors, which was ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia suzloua... skyrail uneaten and went back to Cairns central. I went to a gym and on my return run the Tropical storm started. It turned into a biathlon instead of a run. I was tredding through puddles 2 foot deep. The gym instructor told me to look out for crocs. Not the awkward sandal type shoes, but the big reptile looking things that like humans for lunch (like the spiders do.) Just crazy that someone was telling me this. So I kept on the look out and what I ended up ...
