Noosa and Brisbane

We went from hervey bay to noosa on the greyhound bus and checked into a nice hostel. The wheather was good but we were only planning to stay for two nights and visit the famous Steve Irwin zoo the next day. It rained a little in the morning but was decent wheather while we were at the zoo. We watched the crocodile show with terri irwin and fed some elephants. We had a good day at the park and on our other day in noosa we enjoyed the sunshine and relaxed. The area was nice but very expensive ...

Hoi luitjes!! Allereerst wil ik me allerliefste vader Feliciteren: Gefeliciteerd!!!

Brisbane

'Homestead' in 'New Farm' conjures up the image of a nice cottage, surrounded by countryside. You can imagine the shock, when the hostel described so positively in the Lonely Planet guide, turned out to be a suburban slum, managed by monkeys. It wasn't really that bad, but it wasn't overly pleasant. Our first day in Brisbane we spent exploring the city. Its an incredible place, some very beautiful old buildings, and a great deal of contemporary architecture. The Goodwill Bridge was designed b...

... drink wine in Mendoza, carnival with Guto in Brazil, surf the longest left in the world in Peru, plus hike the mysterious Inka Trail to Muchu Pichu, sample the specialties of Bolivia, and finally - after 3 months on the south American roads - we'll call it a day.

Foods, smells, sights and sounds await. It's going to be great! I wonder what we'll find.. ? Stay tuned and we'll fill you in!

Watching what!

... are good, coast line is pretty, miles and miles of white sand. Beautiful scenery which is ever changing. We have lost the concept of rush hour and are only used to 'pootaling' along listening to the hits of the 70's (Max's latest buy - still no Dolly!!) Additional information; you know what happens when 'all girls are together' we get in sink, well the bloody sat nav has joined in!! Talk about pre-menstrual, She had a ***** of a day yesterday,if ...

Easter rain in Brisbane

... on the way and Nick took on the Cheeseburger challenge (eating one in two bites) and succeeded! The next day it rained like I've never seen before... torrential downpour all day long! Me and Nick decided it was a good day to go to the cinema. We saw The Uninvited which was an American remake of a Korean film I've already seen (Tale of two sisters) but I still didn't see the ending coming! It wasn't as scary as the Korean film but it still had me clutching Nick's arm and ...

... all good, than in the middle of the year my two sisters decided to join us we thought sweet what a great trip it would. We were all set bought guide books, maps everything, than the dollar dropped really badly. So late last year me and Nae went to the Sunshine Coast (Belinda lives there) and the three of us decided to go on a road trip around Australia in July/August for a few weeks. Our next ...

... not easy as we had to walk under the expressway and via carparks to find it. However we managed and crossed the river to South Bank 2 pier. There is a Riverside cafe which was only just open at 11.30am so we could have our first beer of the day. The walk along the Southbank is the best bit of Brisbane. We passed the Natural history museum which has huge dolphin sculptures hanging from the ceiling of ehich would otherwise be a boring walk thro a concrete passage. Crossing the ...

... out onto a steep drop, and as we hit the bottom with a thud were blasted with water. As the tube came to a stop, Lorna was missing from the front! She had been flung forwards about another 10 yards and landed flat in the water on her backside. It was hilarious to see - although I'm not sure Lorna agreed with that! We left the park about 4ish as we had to get back to the ...
