On our first full day in Brisbane the two of us had the house to ourselves as Chris' parents were away in Sydney and the guys were at a day festival. We spent the day exploring Brisbane, first visiting QUT university, a 15 minute walk over the river from Chris' place and lounged (/hid from the sun!) in the pretty botanical gardens surrounding it. After lunch we had a look around the Queensland Museum, which had some interesting exhibits on the local social and natural history. The highlight was the large Muttaburrasaurus skeleton, also known as "Mutt" that was found in Queensland.
