... s in Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast where we enjoyed fresh seafood and views of the 300-plus berth marina boasting super yachts and luxury sail boats. We had a great time spending more time with with people we had and are getting to know better on this visit. We sat next to Ken Murray who travels regularly to India and Sri Lanka and got more accounts of his journeys and adventures.

... out some local currency, negotiated a fare with the cab and off we went. Sitting in the back of a cab in the dark sorting through rupee notes in numerous denominations trying to make 3300 did test my patience a bit but we made it. The hotel reception was glad to see us, he didn't need to do any of the normal formalities, just get to bed. Room was OK at first glance, shower was hot, beer was cold in the fridge, bed was comfortable. Tomorrow is another ...

... Our last day, we watched TV for the morning again (a luxury) and then headed into the nearby shopping to pick up some bits and pieces to say thank you to Erin and Jeremy for their hospitality!! We went to dinner across at Southbank, which was lovely because they had lit all the buildings up for the G20. We shall miss you Brisbane and co!!! It's been nice to have a family stopping point again. It's just us and Wilson on the way up the Cairns now..... Via Australia ...
