We spent the night on camp with Gra icing his calf as we prepared for our big day tomorrow at the cricket!

We woke to a very hot van with bright sunshine peaking through the curtains......I headed out for a run which was significantly hampered by the heat then we got our picnic ready for the cricket!
We caught the bus into Brisbane then ...

raised the bat food to the ceiling with Beck. Then, it was off to the
Indooroopilly Police Station to see if my money had found its way
there. The receptionist behind the bullet-proof glass was initially
standoffish, but once we talked a bit, she warmed up amazingly. My
cash had to be processed and converted into a personal cheque, so it
was not yet in there. All my information was confirmed and the
possessions officer would contact ...

peered at us with pricked ears. I know Aussies think possums are the
scourge of the Earth, but I think they are precious. It was great
seeing one in the wild who was not too shy.
Daniel and I parted ways and I got on
the bus. It was not for about 15 minutes that I really looked around
the 444 and saw Sandra sitting in the first row of the upper part of
the bus. I went over and sat with her for the rest of the ride.

I went through the tiny Botanic Gardens
(not that impressive) and swung around the coast facing Kangaroo
Point. At New Farm Park, I paused at End of the Road Coffee. It was a
cute little house on the corner of the park, slightly overhanging the
river. You could see the park with their family picnics and the ferry
... day visitor. Australis Cairns Beach Resort, a reputed Cairns resort, for instance has inviting features of modern accommodation.
