At the campsite the trees were filled with kookaburras and honey eaters. So
many in one place it was an amazing noise for the dawn chorus.
We then left the van and went into Gladstone ,Tannum Sands. Gladstone is a large coal
port and Tannum Sands nearby is a holiday resort although it didn’t appeal to
us. Spotted a 1 -2 mtr snake though loitering, so moved smartly back to the

... blocked by two fences. Scared from the crocs we visited some more friendly animals. We hung out with the koalas, cassowary (one of the only birds that are able to kill a man), camels and lots of other lovely species. The highlight of this was when Kai (who we met up with at the zoo) started taking pictures of a branch thinking it was a snake. ... it, it was horrible and made me feel sick, I brushed my teeth like 4 times and kept gagging I then decided il have an early night and just as I was drifting off one of the girl staying in my room came in with like 5 of her friends getting ready for there night out and they weren't exactly trying to be quiet even though they could clearly see I was trying to sleep!! Bloody slags!! Ergh I don't like this place and at the moment I don't even like myself!!! ...
