Brisa Sol Hotel is excellent value for money, child friendly and staff are extremely helpful. Kept clean and tidy with plenty of indoor activities to keep you occupied. Worth trying!

      Holiday with Sonia

      from

Our Portuguese holiday in Albufeira was made all the more pleasurable by the fantastic hotel accomodation namely the Brisa Sol located just a 10 minute walk to the 'old Town'. The cleanliness of all rooms combined with the curteous staff ensured a relaxing time was had by all. On the 2 occasions we dined in the Restaurant the food was of the highest standard and very reasonably priced considering its 4 star rating. The indoor and outdoor pools together with the sun bathing facilities were able to accomodate all who wished to burn off calories or just 'chill out' under the sun. Me, I preferred the latter spending quality time sipping Bacardi cokes from the small outside bar which also catered for food and non alcoholic beverages. Whilst on the subject of alcohol, the evening entertainment in the main bar was good clean professional fun. The bar staff were polite and the prices considerably cheaper than the ear splitting roudiness of the 'new Town' areas. Although I have given this hotel an above average score as opposed to excellent this doesn't detract from the fact that our holiday at this location was memorable for all the good reasons and the Hotel Brisa Sol has not seen the last of me !!!

      Very quiet

      from

I was very pleased with the hotel and the rooms available. Everything is very clean ans the staff are very polite. The pool facilities are excellant for adults and children alike and the pool food is very rerasonable. The beach is about 15 minutes walk awa and all down hill but there was about 100 steps to get down to it and believe me it was very steep and very hard to get back up again, especially with a push chair. The old and new stripe are both down hill and when coming home can be a bit of a struggle walking back up again. Overall I had a relaxing holiday around the hotel, but the only reason I would not return with kids is the lack of entertainment for them. Our kids where bored at night time with nothing to do.

      Fantastic

      from

Simply fantastic thats all there is to say about this accomodation.

This is our 2nd visit to the Brisa Sol and without doubt we will be returning next year. Spotlessly clean (maid service every day) & well furnished. We paid a small charge for a studio with a pool view and it was well worth the cost as the rooms at the back overlook the car park or the main road. 10 minutes to old town or the strip depending on which way you turn when leaving the hotel, fairly hilly but well worth the walk in either direction. All staff very friendly but not over impressed with the bar, the evening entertainment leaving a lot to be desired but nightlife in resort very good. If dining out I must recommend the Grandmothers House Restaurant.

      Fab Holiday

      from

Went to Brisa sol in June 2003. Fabulous Weather Hotel beautiful and clean, nothing too much trouble very friendly and pool side snack bar smashing. All in all a wonderful holiday. Already been 3 times. Need i say more !

Had a great holiday loved the hotel

      from

We recently stayed at the Brisa Sol Hotel Apartmentos. We had an excellent vacation the staff at the hotel were most helpful and accommodating at all times. I would seriously recommend them to our friends if they ever ventured into Portugal. The cleaning staff were a delight to spend time with especially our two ladies Isabel Bento and her partner Maria. It would nice if we could receive the email address for the Brisa Sol as we have a couple of photographs of Isabel and Maria which we would like forward to them. We stayed at Brisa Sol from March 02 thru to March 29 of this year 2003.

      Good Quality Apartments

      from

I visited the Brisa Sol a few years ago, but it is a splendid site for a holiday. The apartments are spotless and furnished to a high standard. They are situated on a busy road whereas when you go outside you either turn left for the old town or right for the strip. It is a 10 minutes stroll but to be honest, with a taxi rank outside we usually took the taxi! The pool area is fantastic, with plenty of sunloungers with matresses for your comfort. If there was one complaint it would be that there was no evening entertainment and no entertainment staff and therefore every night was spent out. Still, I would go back there -- and Portugal -- in a heartbeat!

      Excellant

      from

albufeira has 2 parts, a loud strip end & a quieter old town, the brisa sol is a 4 star hotel 10 mins walk from the old town, spotless, indoor & outdoor pool, very friendly helpful staff, reasonable rates, my husband had a massage whilst he was there, the guy who comes to the hotel is a sports phsio, best massage he has had, half the price of back home. supermarker next door, which is great as this is an aparthotel also, we stayed in a studio feb 2002, we were overlooking the road, we go back in april 2003, but will get a pool view this time. don't bother booking trips thru a rep, the hotel has same trips a lot cheaper!

... saw loads of fish, big ones and small. A fisher mans paradise. Several of them looked like the sea bass that had come whole on the dinner plates the night before!! Today was cooler than the fabulous day we had had on Wednesday. And although a shopkeeper was huddled up trying to keep warm, we found it just right for sightseeing a barmy air with a warm breeze. However it did go colder later afternoon, with a cold wind, but then warmer again at night time when we went to the beach for our ...

We ended up in the science museum for the morning.

The kids really enjoyed this and we spent 2 and a half hrs playing with the interactive activities based around Portugal's boating history.

On the second day we took a local fisherman boat ride around this stunning coastline.

We took so many photos that it was extremely difficult to pick some to put on ...

We are having trouble with the internet, and I'm having problems getting photos from phone to I pad, when I sort it I will post photos. Matt, I can't open your reply on 5th Nov sorry. Yesterday we just walked the beach again, the tide was higher and we had a Neil Kinnock moment when the incoming tide decided to do a huge wave and we had to run from it, needless to say, it was faster than us and I ended up with wet shoes and ...
