... hoped not to need it. Big faith in Austrians and, in particular, cheery Austrian bus drivers (on Wednesdays!!) So back to the van. Jon had an awesome chat with Roger in the Gate, followed by a fab chat with Nats and mum in Torquay, then Gemma and Damo in Tunbridge Wells!! Sadly unsuccessful call to Verity and skyping with the Hammetts before a few drinkies and a snacky dinner before our final sleep on "Panoramastraße". Best site so far... Austria is ...

    Breakfast in the Alps

We were woken at half 4 by rain and thunder so we brought Prego in. We dropped back off to sleep before being awoken again at 6ish by another storm. ... North West to Langenfeld and then on to Imst. The Austrian countryside is like riding through a post card and you need you head on a swivel to keep up with all the sights you pass by. The Austrian's pay great attention to presentation with decorated houses surrounded by well manicured cottage gardens. Heading West we traversed Hahntennjoch Pass, 1894 meters. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hahnten njoch Once again this pass was ...

... we both got it into our heads we were going to break down next to a sheer drop on the side of a mountain. Not cool! We arrived, both pretty shaken, at the wonderful Arlberglife Camping, ACSI 956 (v posh facilities, pay for electric, free wifi, oodles of leaflets. Oh yeah, and the small point about panoramic views of mountains!) We chose a pitch and had a cup of tea and a pot noodle, just to calm down! Ummmmmmmm, if it turns out Austria's not for us, we gotta ...
