... hard. In a straight line with a smooth take off we were up in the air. I've never experienced anything like this and couldn't believe how peaceful it was up there. Inbetween Wayne getting me to pose for the shots I was just staring over the city and back at those beautiful jaw-dropping mountain views.

Although we avoided the line to purchase tickets when we reached the cable car terminus, the line to board it was nearly as long. Fortunately, the two cars carried 24 passengers each, so the operation was rather efficient. The cable car rotates 360 degrees on the ride up, so there were no places to stand with a better view than others.

[Postscript]- Was just interrupted writing up this entry as Janine suggested a scorpion had somehow made it into our room. Fortunately Mike, the assistant at our accomodation, swiftly dealt with it. Attached is the photo to prove it. My first ever sighting of a scorpion and although the picture doesn't make it clear he was big!

... of the first in line so when the ferry started to board we were able to get on and grab seats on the top floor. We watched a bit of a video on Robben island and then the ride was almost over. We had heard it was better to get off first so we waited on the stairs where we had the first thought that lil Jon may have been on our ferry.
