This young woman also didn’t know what kind of hip replacement she was going to have or much about the surgery but she did know that the surgery was free for her and we aren’t quite sure why. She also was on the waiting list for a wheelchair – for the past year.

After another comfortable night, we awoke to a delicious breakfast, travelling across the Little Karoo with beautiful wild flowers. Some energetic passengers got out at a little stop and walked the 5 kms into the Victorian village of Matjiesfontein "Fountain of little reeds"), however we chose to stay on board.
