We've been back on the boat for a couple of weeks after a quick trip home, and have traveled from Isle of Palms just north of Charleston, SC to New Bern, NC. Along the way, we've enjoyed our stops, visited with friends and made some new acquaintances. It's never really lonely on The Loop. We got back to the boat, which we left at Wild Dunes Resort …

This past Sa**************ed to the coastal plain of eastern North Carolina for some hiking at Goose Creek State Park. I met up with Jason, Anna, and Shawna in Durham at around 7 and we carpooled out to the park, arriving just after 9. There was a trail race at the park and it was quite crowded. The parking lots were full, so we had to park along the side of the road just past the picnic area then waited for ...

... It was already 2 pm when we started so we figured that when it was 330pm we would just turn around and make our way back. We have been chasing the falling colored leaves since the start of our trip. They had pretty much all fallen in Canada about a month ago and it seems like we were a week behind everywhere we went but we finally caught up. The leaves were beautiful and bright. They had started falling but the trees were still full and there was a nice ...
