We've been back on the boat for a couple of weeks after a quick trip home, and have traveled from Isle of Palms just north of Charleston, SC to New Bern, NC. Along the way, we've enjoyed our stops, visited with friends and made some new acquaintances. It's never really lonely on The Loop. We got back to the boat, which we left at Wild Dunes Resort …

It is separated from the state by a series of capes and islands. The highway is only navigable by bridges ...

... give him diet dew on occasion, could you imagine a 9 year old boy hyped up on Mt, Dew). We went to Annabelle's (southern comfort food) for a late lunch early dinner to see my cousin Kyra at work. We then went to check into our new hotel. We took an evening walk at Union Point on the Neuse river and then stopped at the little gravel parking area near the boat ramp to look for shark teeth. The "gravel" is ...

Rained all night, hot (75 degrees) and humid this morning. Drove across the bridge to New Bern looking for the post office - small branch which didn't open until 10:30. Ate breakfast, walked around Middle Street. A local pharmacy is where the formula for Pepsi-cola was developed. I checked out the Pepsi store but didn't ...
