      ... fuss or drama, and it's also our earliest stop of the week so far. The hotel turns out to be er, interesting. Let's just say that whilst the prices might still be in the 1980s, that's largely matched by the decor. Still it's not the worst place I have seen and the food in the restaurant is fine. It's becoming obvious why The Battleaxes on night one is pushing double the price. However, for once we're not dead beat and there's even time for a couple of pints before "Wheeler Dealers" is on Quest! ...

      ... was now nothing stopping the wind. It howled in from my left, taking my breath away and forcing me to face to one side during the climb. As I started to enter the base of the clouds the wind whipped ice crystals as well, stinging any exposed skin.
