No.8 Anchor Street, Tak Kok Tsui, Kowloon Hong Kong, China, 852-23903355
I have never seen HK so magnificent as I had from the Peak. It was a great afternoon, the clouds had almost cleared and the pollution was almost clear, you could see the Kowloon side, the new territories, and a great view of Hong Kong from right above.
The pictures don't do justice.......
... the word for Hong Kong and the horns were not being honked--- there was more order to everything in a strange kind of way. I arrived pretty late, so I walked around and saw the Star Ferry Harbour and the view of Hong Kong Island, some parts of Kowloon and went by a few stores that were open as late as 11:00pm.
... weren’t open at all until 2pm, but I heard the opening ceremony from the cafe where I had breakfast (a jumbo sausage roll and fruit punch, in case you’re curious). The first thing I did was to look for the Hallowe’en rides (they weren’t ‘rides’ as it turns out, but it’s shorter and more to the point than “attractions”, so I’m using it), but since they weren’t open, I took a raft to Tarzan’s Treehouse and ...
Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong marymc21... how much I follow Chinese Hollywood).
After taking in the views from the top and snapping photos with the Buddha statue, we descended the hill and went to the restaurant on site for a vegetarian lunch. It was a set meal, which came with vegetarian soup, bean curd, vegetarian spring roll, and two vegetable stirfrys with mushrooms. Very delicious and filling. Somehow, Colin managed to find room in ...
... the 'symphony of lights' (a light show they put on every night for tourists) and now we end the story so far....sitting here in an internet cafe, surrounded by businessmen playing computer games with each other!
Lots of love to everyone

... as the "father of modern China", received his education in Hong Kong and his epoch-making career was inseparable from Hong Kong, where he nurtured his revolutionary ideas. From the establishment of the Xing Zhong Hui (Revive China Society) in 1894 to the founding of the Chinese Republic in 1912, Dr. Sun kept using Hong Kong as a base of his revolutionary campaign. The museum, which was opened in 2006 ...
Hong Kong, China asiaexpert... cups and heating and wasting of water. I wasn't particularly fond of this custom. First you had to wash the tea leaves by filling the tea pot, letting the leaves settle, and then dumping out the water. You had to warm the little cups in a pot, then dump out the water, and you had to rinse the lid to the tea pot, and dump out the water. You had to do this every time you pulled out some new tea; it was aggravating! All I wanted to do was taste the tea, not ...
Hong Kong, Hong Kong lrgraves... stupidly expensive for what they give you. To those of you who see this sign **** you might want to know that you are my special friends who get to know about the fact we also managed to get a little bit of hash in HK which also forced us to try hard to save after spending about £60 on an 8th. Too expensive I know but when it's been this long I reckon I'd have sucked of a spliff.***#8 We just went for a walk around on our first evening trying to get some fresh air and ...
Hong Kong, China thebigh... mansions looks pretty ghetto on the outside.but it is the cheapest accommodation in Hong Kong and we are happy with it. The first day in HK we took the star ferry to HK Island and found the Vietnamese embassy.we gave them our ...
Hong Kong, China thomaswguyThe memory card on my camera is full, I take a trip to Kowloon to buy another. It's a good excuse for a ferry ride, and it's the reason there aren't many pictures for this entry.

Nathan Road runs north from the tip of Kowloon to the Chinese border. The southern end of the road is lined with electronics shops marked by neon signs. The glowing tubes are twisted into Chinese characters and famous logos. The signs pulse and animate in different colours. Even in ...
