    ... floods and devastation. A lot has happened while we've been away but we have been proud of the way our state has rebounded and are moving forward.

    We're excited to be getting home tomorrow. We’ve been very fortunate through all our travels and have enjoyed sharing our adventures with our friends and family. We’re glad I wrote the blog because it’s already hard to remember some of the names of places we’ve been!

    ... the 25th year of the German reunification (1989). They were expecting thousands of people in Frankfurt and we actually ( on Saturday night) watched the major event on the TV. Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.

    ... YEEUCH! The rain was so bad at times I couldn't see a thing and found myself peering around my screen looking for the white line on the side of the road just to see where we were headed. It was not a comfortable ride at all. As Jude said, we used our imagination on what it would have looked like, especially in the fall. This is a ride I would live to come back and do.     ... during this trip and it too was very moving... especially the end of mass (more about that during the trip) and again I thought~ I AM coming back here and I AM hiking "the Way". I think Monsignor Al tired of all my questions~ lol~ but I'm thankful to He and Sister for planting the seed.

    Now a few years have gone by.........the dream is still in my friend Linda said she would like to go also... things were happening ...

    ... ended up having 9 because,
    well, he's a teenager and doesn't have a discerning palette. But most
    of us had 2 or 3. The worst takeaway we've had so far but I had it on
    my list to try so can cross that one off. Eeewww I feel blerch even
    writing about it!
