We went to Gatlinburg rather than the planned stop in Pigeon Forge because of our late start and the threat of rain. In Pigeon forge, what once was a cow path is a busy honkytonk of amusement and hotel/motel/restaurants and fun. Dolly World isn't even visible from the main drag.
