We arrive in Wollongong at 2pm in the afternoon, we begin our walk to the hostel and a drunkard falls down on the floor in front of us, not the best first impressions. We wheel our luggage round her (she's still eating her sandwich in one hand and her friend is helping her) and continue to Crown street, the main shopping district. Obviously the hotels lift capacity cannot cope with guest numbers. Once down we headed off to the Vatican and St Peters. So did half of Italy I think! We were told that we had special priority group entry to expedite entry into the place. So did a hundred other groups. ...

The majority of our time here has been spent socialising. Lyn and I drove over to a Bundanoon coffee shop to meet up with mutual friends made through teaching at the school. What a lovely time we had after which Lyn and I wandered around to our old place of work. The little village school had been transformed by the addition of covered outdoor learning areas as well as a community hall. Once back home we prepared for ...
