... here...was never leaving. He tried real hard to talk me into staying a few days so that we could go hiking... I heard him mentioning the same thing to another fellow in the campground before he started chasing his rooster around. I think he might be a little lonely. But, a nice enough fellow. He put his arm around me when I went to leave and gave me a squeeze resembling a half hug...that was enough of that. I'se out of there.
Kanarraville, Utah, United States turtletalesIt's early and everyone else is still sleeping. I got up around 5am to feed Bubba a bottle. He went back to sleep afterward, but I was wide awake at that point. I took Dolly outside; beautiful full moon was casting some light over the desert night. We didn’t venture far from the RV as I am afraid of the dark and forgot to bring a flashlight. We were walking casually in what I thought was an empty field when I noticed a dark outline of a building or ...

Meanwhile the little river was flowing peacefully beside us, ever now and then forming little rapids as it raced over some pebbles or flowed over the top of a persistent little stone ledge. The trail ended at the point where the riverbed covers the width of the canyon. You can continue on up it, but you have to hire waterproofs and special high-grip water ...
Hatch, Utah, United States lauravanwaas... flit around. Chipmunks and birds visit very close to the campsite looking for food. Marcie said that on previous trips she actually had chipmunks come up to her and lay on her stomach. That would have been cool. Another appeal for camping is the side trips you can make. Campgrounds are inevitably in areas where you can see some GORGEOUS scenery. We were close to Duck Creek Pond which is a fed by a small river. I saw ducks (duh ...

More later. 4:30 MT We're happily camped at Ruby's RV Park in Bryce Canyon. I'm happily doing laundry, which is also a WIFI hot spot. Mark and Abbi are in the pool. We're at 7,777 feet elevation. Bryce Canyon, Utah, United States estabrookes... father and son. They died 2 years and 1 day apart. There are now two winged angels to commemorate this. Anyhow I digress.) The men and the town got on fine and there was a lot of loyalty towards the building of the Boulder Dam. Then just before it was to be opened it was decided to change the name to the Hoover Dam after President Herbert Hoover. The people of Boulder weren't too happy about this and protested. They refused to call it the Hoover Dam and wouldn't make a Hoover Dam ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States overseas_ash... are the boys out for a big week of partying. There are the high rollers in their limos and VIP rooms. There are the grandparents playing the 1c pokies. But they are all there for one reason. To win money. Walking back to our hotel, past the pedlars and the all you can eat buffets it was great to see all the neon sights flashing, the gregarious structures, and the people everywhere. Despite losing so much money I love Vegas. I just wish Vegas would love me.
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States overseas_ashBrian Head is at 9500 feet above sea level. Walk up one flight of stairs and feel your lungs. "Great start to a biking and hiking trip", I thought. Not bad snow for June. The temperature that morning was 30 degrees Fahrenheit. ... this is a summer vacation?
