Today we were transferred by Brewster bus to Lake Louise. With stops in Canmore, and Banff, it took about 4 1/2 hours. The bus was full having made several hotel stops and an airport stop. Then it was some on, some off. Much of the ride was in Banff National Park. Beautiful. We have seen so many mountain ranges but each one has been different. I thought these would be like the Tetons, but no. These are their own ...

... We had a lovely ride up which took just over an hour and arrived at the Lake Agnes tea house. We stopped for a quick half an hour break and a drink (lemonade.....no drinking and riding you know!) then got back on horses to desend the mountain.

... the other end of the lake just on dusk. The cameras all got a workout as we stopped every few metres it seemed to look both forward and backwards towards the lake as the changing light and reflective lake made the scenery different every few moments.   A touch of Fairmont shopping for the girls while the boys had a beer in the Saloon. Dorothy and Susan joined them for ...

    Beautiful Banff (and Lake Louise)

... the sun was still shining on the mountains (most of the day had been cloudy and even light snow) and we had layers of clothing, so we decided to go up Sulphur Mountain in case the weather was not flash tomorrow.

From the gondola we could see the path we could have walked up - about a 2 hour walk. We were happy to just do a few hundred meter walk to the top. The views were great towards Banff - although the other direction was in cloud. At the ...
