We spotted a group of mother and baby bighorn sheep by the side of the road, and shortly afterwards we reached Lake Peyto which was named after Bill Peyto, one of the original expedition outfitters in Banff. Today we had a bit of a sleep in followed by the complimentary breakfast in the lounge on level 7 - part of the luxury that is available to the GOLD club at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise! We saw a man slip and fall in the car park out front, and it took about an hour to get an ambulance to him. He was stuck laying on the ground as a light snow fell. It was a reminder to us to be careful while walking around.

Got up early as we wanted to do a hike up a mountain for views over Emerald Lake.
