... Australia and told us about his trip to Australia travelling around in one of the campervans. There was another company that operated a Ferry to Molene, but the Ferry didn't leave until 2pm. We decided to book tickets and come back on the 5:30pm Ferry. We spent the morning looking around Le Conquet and doing one of the walks around the town. ... not much to see but it is a convenient stopping place. Found the fishmongers and picked up a lobster for dinner.

Next day wandered back into town and completed a bit more provisioning including buying another lobster, crab claws, languastines and oysters. Much much cheaper than eating out in the restaurants. We're leaving that for dishes we don't normally eat or cook.

We left Morlaix taking the afternoon HW lock and headed south west past Roscoff where we anchored in a very pleasant bay.

The following morning we left quite early and headed for our next destination, L'Aber Vrac'h.

Sailed most of the way which was nice but there was a bit of swell which made the sail hard work, but nevertheless our sailing to motoring ratio is improving.

We wanted to anchor in the river leading to L'Aber Vrac'h rather than use the marina ...

... and very very shallow even towards HW. At one stage we had under a metre under the keel and we did run aground not far from the lock where we were trying to go alongside the wall.

After settling in we wandered into the town. The market was just closing but we still managed a little provisioning. We wandered around the streets and enjoyed the architecture and the atmosphere, quite lively. It's mostly a student town with quite a number of bars and creperies.
