    ... today had its hottest July day ever and Venice was stifling by the time I arrived mid-morning. So today’s travel dragging suitcases around with a train change in Verona was very uncomfortable. Even Innsbruck which is surrounded by mountains was over 30c when I arrived this afternoon.

When birds flew from the surrounding trees and small animals ducked for cover we decided perhaps Julie Andrews was the gal for the job.     ... passes. After a huge thunderstorm and torrential rain on the
    Saturday night, the weather has been warm, if a little overcast at times. We
    are in the process of trying to book a ferry home but the wild cat strikes at
    Calais are causing havoc with trying to sort something out. Not to worry, I am

    ... Had dinner in a quaint bar called Simi, Tim had Zwieblrostbraten & I had wiener snitzel. Back to the hotel and out for this evenings optional extra a Typical Tyrolean evening. The family dresses in national costume and sings, dances and played these amazing instruments, Tim got a couple of beers even if they were steins, back to the hotel, straight to bed got an early start ...
