... the planet that hosts us ... but I don't walk this path myself ... so its all fine and dandy to talk about it ...
My hope for the development of Africa after the last visit was that it find its own path to making people's lives better and giving them access to education and the basics without making all the same mistakes we made ...
How will this be affected by this new trip ... well ... lets see ...

it funny you always think home is home but then some things happen and I realize that home is where you make it and for em I feel like I have two homes now and it is weird and I am not sure how to cope with that. I always thought I would go home and that would be it but looking at everything that has happened I am sad because this is it I will never have ...
Arriviamo a Galway. L'ostello ha una frequentazione molto giovane e fricchettona. Noi siamo un po' a disagio, i nostri anni 70 sono un po' lontani e Diego non li ha mai vissuti. Ci prepariamo una cena nella cucina ...
... together. We then met "Those Guys" (Tim, Josh, & Sean) on our way to the tour who were staying at the same hostel. It didn't take long to realize this new mix of people would take my vacation in a whole new direction.
On the tour, we walked through the Burren, learning about Irish history. John, the owner of most of this land, was interesting. Even more interesting, watching Jill die a slow death from lack of alcohol and a lifetime of ...
Today we had our boat ride over to the Aran Islands. These islands consist of 3 different Islands, and we were going to the largest Island- Inishmore. It was about a 30 minute drive from Galway to catch the ferry. The town the ferry left from looked very run down, but luckily the ferry boat was pretty nice. The boat was full and it was about a 45 minute trip to the island.
Upon arrival to the island ...
... was funny, too include mom! The temperature in the cave was about 30 degrees less than the outside and it was quite dark. There was also a nice waterfall inside the cave. At the end of the tour, the guide turned off all of the lights, what little there were anyways, so we could experience what it would be like as an explorer finding a cave for the first time. It was very cold and eery.
After the cave, we headed up to Galway. What a ...
... our way down the tower. Each tower had several stories, most were bedrooms. The second story contained a small kitchen. The top of each tower was open. The view was mediocre, as it was really a view of the highway and some marshlands. In my opinion, not the ideal location for a castle.
After touring the castle, we decided to grab a small lunch at the Tearoom, which was a small cafe on the property. It was a bit chilly out, so ...
... here to Galway for her ex boyfriend and obviously that didn't work out and well we just hit it off at work! It is so great to meet really cool people you just bond with and you can tell everything and anything! I have now been officially invited to all of the staff parties/going outings... so i am now one of the "in crowd" haha and surprisingly it feels really great to have friends at work! Tonight Busker Brownes is closed ...
galway, Ireland lindsey-canada... Ireland and spend the last few days in Galway- that would be fun and probably pretty cheap if we each just had a backpack of clothing because you can bring a certain amount on the plane with you and not have to pay for checked baggage it is so cheap then! So that could be really fun! I am waitin for when they come back from Mexico and then we can start planning! So thats about it just waiting for the end of July for when i can really travel again! everyone ...
Galway, Western Ireland, Ireland lindsey-canada... hostage Ken Bigley had just been killed in Iraq. Anyway the service didn't do anything for me, despite the ancient setting and the efforts of the choir members to be friendly, and I don't think I'll go back. Afterwards I went to the King's Head pub to listen to live jazz. The pub was pretty empty, which was nice as it's usually packed. But the music was outstanding! A pianist, a trumpeter, a couple other musicians ...
