Day 9: Dornumersiel to Wilshelmhaven. Gas??

... br> We ended up going to a local restaurant where we spoilt ourselves on a 3 course meal to celebrate our halfway milestone. Today is halfway through the trip and also halfway through the camping (in terms of nights in a tent).

Tomorrow we are getting a ferry and cycling up to Cuxhaven. The next day Stade and hopefully in 3 days time we will be able to have lunch in Hamburg!

If anyone knows where to find coleman gas canisters within a 50mile radius of Dornumersiel please contact us asap. Our main gas cannister is down and we only have 1 meal left on our emergency one!

I am somewhat joking, I'm sure we will be fine...I hope. In all seriousness today's goal was to find a new camping stove or a replacement gas can and we haven't been very successful.

Nothing much happened until just before lunch when Oskar took a small tumble scrapeing his knee again. Luckily he unclipped and fell mostly onto grass otherwise it could've been much worse.

We had lunch in Pieterburen next to an old windmill. Having stuffed ourselves we powered on only stopping briefly to get food and a couple spare chain links for my bike. ...

Had breakfast with Horst then went into work with him. Walked to the railway station and bought a day regional ticket for 2 people for 23 Euro. Off to Bad Zwischenahn. It is a 50 minute ride. We walked around the city centre and ate the local Ammerländen bratwurst in brot with mustard. Then walked for 3,5km partly around the Zwishenahner Meer (lake). We viewed the 1870 ...
