... the desk open, we got to the airport at 12.20 by which time the airline had given away 16 of our seats, so although we were actually late, they re-scheduled the remaining members of our party on the next flight with no charge. ... was certainly 'back to basics'; phonetics, how to actually write the letters, where on the line the letters should be, which bits to cross, which bits should be vertical etc. I'd like to think that there was already an improvement in their writing as I initially let them copy the letters by themselves, but once I'd shown them the 'correct' way to write the letter, their writing was much better.
