Long 2hr drive to Isimila Stone Age site near Iringa. Expecting great things from this but all we see is a pile of rocks which we're told are Stone Age implements. Disappointing. Highlight however is a walk into the nearby canyon with stone pillars that have been formed by the river eroding away the valley but leaving numerous freestanding stone pillars. Amazing landscape. Reminds me of Monument Valley and other ...

After showing everyone the sunrise pictures it was funny how many people decided to get up early! Myself Sarah and Maria got up and went to the front to see the sun come up over the Village next to us. Although it wasn't as impressive as the one the day before it was still a nice way to come around! We got off soon after the un was up and followed the same track seeing the same things until we all sort of gave up and sat down in our chairs. The road ...

Then there are the bugs making all sorts of weird noises too! Possibly the most magical bit though is the sunrise! because of the dust that gets ...

Today we headed out to the Masai Mara to go on safari! We were up and ready sat at the end of the drive for 8am as we were meant to be all excited for our safari but nobody was there?! At 9am a mini van slowly crawled down the street towards us and a big rhino looking ma got out and apologised for hi tardiness. We were on the road! We drove through a market and saw first hand the markets advertised on the oxfam adverts with all ...

Today we were up very early to get out and take a group from International School Kenya (ISK) on a trip up Mt. Longonot, The 2780m mountain is one of the training mountains for Mt. Kenya but yet is harder than any day one would face on Mt. Kenya. We got to the foot of the mountain and paid our entry to the national park and then sat waiting for the ISK kids to arrive. There were 80 kids on the trip so when they got off the bus it was ...
