      Off to Manchester after supper to be next to the airport for the early morning flight! Need to check in at 6.40 am (sigh)... But very excited to get on the way!       ... check where the flight went before we drove all that way, it went to Kazakhstan - we booked three nights in a hotel in Ripley in Yorkshire instead. We got to hotel, hit the room, hit the wifi and sat there cancelling the first batch of hotels we'd painstakingly booked six months ago while in NZ, at least they were free cancelation but it certainly wasn't the start to our trip we'd envisaged.       In a fit of madness I finally decided that I had to put my feet in the water. There were people swimming, surfing - at least these guys had wetsuits on, and standing in the water.       ... Celebration. We hope to catch some more events before departing. Day 34, July 5th: In Riga. Today's adventure was a trip to Juramla which is the Baltic coastal region about 15 miles from Riga. It is known for its great beach. We walked to the central train station by first going through a fabulous market, selling fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, handcrafted items and more.       Headed up to Manchester with my best friend Charlotte (we drove up), stayed in possible the most expensive and classiest hotel in Manchester (of course....
