... and had some really cool and original stuff - we even made a list of things to copy (Roger's new retirement plan) when we get home! Unfortunately the budget would only afford us some strawberries for lunch - which were delicious.

We made our way to Noosa for the afternoon, which is a really nice place on the coast renowned for the surfing. After walking through the town we found ourselves on the beach where Danielle quickly chickened out of the ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia yelleandjon... as soon as they'd got in and would grab a quick shower and come find us. So we had a good night chatting and rating all the locals on the karaoke, with all the girls trying to get me to sing. I know it should be in the blood being a Valleys boy from the Heart of Wales but I think the singing gene skipped me so said I'd rather streak through the surf club than get up and sing but thankfully they didn't take me up on this offer. The T-shirt sun tan stayed covered :)

Gaz & LJ
Noosa, Queensland, Australia gaz-lj... 2.50 pounds (do not have pound signs on these computers) that was really good but they played 80's love songs all evening so we went right to bed didnt really get us in the mood for a party!

Today we went to the Australian Zoo which if you dont know is Steve Irwin's zoo - the guy who died from a sting ray. His zoo was really big so many parts to it and i stroked a Kangaroo (did feel a bit guilty as i had ate one the ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia suziebabe007... steep incline. We had to reverse the bus and trailer all the way down hill and half way down we lost the air brakes and was the hand brake the only way of slowing the bus down. About a half hour later we came back to where we came from and were directed to the sounth side entrance .......this run was a breeze. Of to Hervey Bay about 130km north of Gympie.
gymie, Australia nachtweh... not pro surfers yet but who knows!!! After looked around shops... which are so nicebut out of our budget range :( which depresses us!! We have even had to demote ourselves to Black & Gold food shopping (which we think is Aldi equivalent!!! ha ha!!!) We are becoming dab hands in the kitchen and getting bargain foods... managed to feed our selves for 2days on 3pounds!!! Went out to see what nightlife is like... its quite relaxed but v.v.v ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia katandhel... were still stifling. But no, one of the couples kept changing the settings so the fan would just blow into their bed and not around the room. If we changed the settings so everyone could benefit then they would change it back even in the middle of the night! After the first night I considered complaining about how it seemed that people were overcrowding the rooms until I saw who worked at reception, no other than the two couples from ...
Noosa, Queensland, Australia simonpullen... maybe it was simply "first in best dressed", as we were never asked where we wanted to sit when we booked out tickets. We were in the "economy class" multiple double seats in an open carriage with a central isle, but this was still a wonderful experience. We had a window seat and we could hang out of it to have a good look at the engine and earlier carriages as we rounded corners. The whole experience was a "blast from ...
Gympie, Queensland, Australia pieterandy... life at that moment. So we got a tow at about 4 o'clock so our mechanic (Rod) told us the bad news taht we needed a new transmission and it was giong to cost about $700. Not good. The plan was for him to order a new transmission and he would put it in tomorrow and we could head on our way. There was absolutely nothing for us to do. We ended up sneaking into the movie 3 ...
Gympie, Australia tylerv... the flooding that happens a lot in the area. He also told us about the plans to flood the whole place with massive dam which would totally wipe out the whole area and take out their farm plus alot of people's homes and farms and lots of the forestry around too. Chris is very passionate about stopping this from happening so he was able to tell us alot about it and he took us to the 'stop the dam' info centre in Kandanga where all the info is collected and ...
Gympie, Australia smiffy... in Byron at around 4pm and were hard pushed to find a place to camp. In the end we ended up staying 20minutes outside byron where we camped at a sheddy little campsite, it was a mission walk to the beach..about 20minutes. The evening was yet again spent cooking sausages but this time with noodles, sitting around sharing good conversation and drinking beer. We checked out a found a campsite right in the centre of byron, at only $10 each a night it was a bargain. The campsite even ...
